You can choose precision-milled inserts for durable gnocchi or fusilli, or select standalone dinosaur molds for novelty use. The brand focuses on direct-mount extrusion for compatible mixers. Note that all listed products are designed exclusively for Philips machines. You will not find discs for KitchenAid or Bosch in this range. The selection prioritizes material quality and specific shape accuracy over universal compatibility.

Choosing the Right Pastidea Disc

1. Check Mixer Compatibility First

You must verify your stand mixer model before purchasing any Pastidea disc. All listed options are designed exclusively for Philips Avance and 7000 Series machines. The Pastidea Fusilli A5 13 mm Pasta Disc fits these specific series. The Pastidea Dinosaur Pasta Disc also mounts directly to compatible Philips units. Buying a disc for an incompatible mixer will result in a useless purchase. Confirm your machine series to ensure the direct-mount design fits your appliance correctly.

2. Select Your Preferred Pasta Shape

Your choice depends entirely on the pasta shape you wish to create. The Pastidea Fusilli A5 13 mm Pasta Disc produces precise fusilli. If you want novelty shapes, the Pastidea Dinosaur Pasta Disc offers a single standalone dinosaur form. The Pastidea 6-Piece Bronze Pasta Disc Set makes spaghetti, pappardelle, and tagliatelle. The Pastidea 3-Piece Pasta Disc Set focuses on spaghetti and pappardelle. Match the disc to the specific shape you plan to cook most often.

3. Choose Between Bronze and POM

Material affects texture and durability. The Pastidea 6-Piece Bronze Pasta Disc Set and the Pastidea 3-Piece Pasta Disc Set use precision-milled bronze inserts. Bronze provides a traditional texture for spaghetti and pappardelle. The Pastidea Bronze and POM Pasta Disc Set combines bronze for gnocchi with POM for fusilli. The Pastidea Dinosaur Pasta Disc uses POM plastic. Choose bronze for traditional pasta texture or POM for durable, easy-to-clean novelty shapes like dinosaurs.

4. Compare Disc Set Sizes

Consider the number of discs you need in one purchase. The Pastidea 6-Piece Bronze Pasta Disc Set offers the widest variety in one kit. The Pastidea 3-Piece Pasta Disc Set provides a smaller selection of bronze inserts. The Pastidea Bronze and POM Pasta Disc Set includes six pieces with mixed materials. If you only need one shape, the Pastidea Fusilli A5 13 mm Pasta Disc is a single unit. Buy sets for variety or singles for specific needs.

5. Review Physical Dimensions

Check the size and weight if storage space is limited. The Pastidea Fusilli A5 13 mm Pasta Disc is small, measuring 2.95 inches wide and weighing 4.94 ounces. The Pastidea Dinosaur Pasta Disc is slightly lighter at 4.59 ounces. Multi-piece sets are larger, measuring 8.86 inches in length. The Pastidea 6-Piece Bronze Pasta Disc Set weighs 1.76 pounds.
